Thoughts with Ice-T & Coco

Back when I was promoting my book Focused, The Financial Freedom Formula, I had the amazing opportunity to speak to a group of business owners at Carnegie Hall in NY City.

I also had the opportunity to share the stage with Ice-T and Coco. He shared with me something that I thought was really awesome and I want to share it with you.

But first, let me ask you a question. The question is, how do you as a 401k or 403b participant become a 401k superhero to your future self?

When I listened to Ice-T tell his story, he talked about all the adversity he faced in trying to become an actor. He talked about all the challenges he faced and how everyone kept trying to get him off track. And they said he couldn’t do it.

He said he stayed focused and kept working on his dreams.

When I had the opportunity to meet him back stage, I asked, what is the greatest thing you’ve learned.

And this in when he said, "No one wakes up with your dreams, except for you."

Wow! How profound. Suddenly his story made more sense to me.

So how can we apply that to our personal financial goals and dreams?

Here’s what I took away from that. You can’t let other people’s motives distract you form your dreams.

You must have goals and stay focused on them. If your goal is getting out debt. You can’t let anything, or anyone make you lose sight of the dream.

If your goal is to better yourself and make more money so you can have a better future, then you can’t let anyone, or anything distract you form that.

You must wake up every morning with your dream and must pursue it. And don’t let anyone or anything stop you.

If you stay focused on your dreams and goals, who knows, you may find yourself as a famous actor someday.

Or at least you may find that you’ve become a 401k Superhero to your future self.

Staying focused on your goals and dreams is a great way to become a 401k Superhero to your future self.
